SONORA’s new album “Eleven Ways To Remind The Past” to be released on 11/11/11. “Eleven is my lucky number,” says Sabine Litschka, vocalist, songwriter and guitarist for the band SONORA. “So, we’ll release it on 11/11/11.”
Two of the songs, “Rest Here In Peace” and “Sobriety” were performed at Vienna’s Local Heroes band competition and can be seen and heard on the band’s live Youtube videos from the event. “Dreams of Gold” is familiar to fans of their “Unplugged Sessions” EP, but will receive a complete rocked-out makeover on Eleven Ways To Remind The Past. The rest of the songs will make their debut appearance on the new album.
For those who have been following the band, Eleven Ways To Remind The Past will clearly demonstrate the development of Sabine Litschka, along with lead guitarist Oliver Vendl, bassist Hartwig Krebitz, and drummer Florian Strobl as individual musicians and as a band. For people who are new to SONORA, Eleven Ways To Remind The Past will be an exciting introduction to an accomplished, cohesive band with a direct and focused approach to powerful, electrified music.
Taking advantage of this once-in-a-century calendar date, SONORA is pulling out all the stops to create their most and ambitious project yet. Upon completion, Eleven was sent for mastering in the USA and a tour through Europe will follow in the summer of 2012.
