SONORA is the deep and resonant vocals from singer/guitarist Sabine Litschka, combined with Oliver Vendl’s melodic lead guitar and the thundering rhythm section of Hartwig Krebitz on bass and Florian Strobl on drums. SONORA’s dynamic, well-crafted songs alternate between intimacy and in-your-face. Whether treading lightly in an acoustic-based ballad, or firing on all cylinders in a rockin’ onslaught, SONORA is serious about music.
Serious about taking the all-or-nothing approach to creating art that touches, moves, and stays with listeners. Live, SONORA is a powerful force of nature sweeping the audience into an ocean of sound. What isn’t obvious at first – and it takes getting to know the band to learn – is that they have a fun side, too. Offstage, this quartet of friends is playful, even silly – they love to laugh – at life’s absurdities and – for the joy of being alive and able to play music.
Together for 10 years, SONORA is a fearless and fiercely determined band. In 2006, Sabine started her own label, RollDog Records in order to release SONORA’s music, her own solo material, as well as that of other carefully selected artists.
SONORA’s recorded output includes 2009′s Days of Conquer and last year’s Unplugged Sessions EP. The song “Someday” from Days of Conquer has been selected by Madalyn Sklar for the 2010 GoGirlsMusicFest compilation album. Their second full-length, Eleven Ways to Remind the Past, has recently been released on the momentous date of 11-11-11. Receiving recognition at the Austrian “Local Heroes” competition and winning over a growing fan base, SONORA is a hardworking band from Austria – and soon the world.

Sabine “@sabinelitschka” Litschka
The austrian singer and songwriter started writing her own music at the age of 13, filling them up with her deepest emotions. Founding SONORA happened to be the right way to calm down her mind from permanent search for something. “I am a seeker, a curious, a sad one, emotion-driven and a gadabout but happy.”

Oliver “@LilyVendelle” Vendl
His amazing affection to details is reflected by his producing where he is able to capture Sabine’s songs at their best. His personal style supports SONORA’s music to stay authentic and honest.

Hartwig “@bassonaut” Krebitz
He joined SONORA in summer 2009. A punchy playing style and breath of Funk let him deliver groovy basslines creating a powerful link between rhythm and melody.

Florian “@thelocomotive” Strobl
Being SONORA’s master of beat, his merry mood, directness and sense of responsibility is reflected by his way of drumming which embeds the harmonic scenery of the songs within a strong rhythmic scaffold that conveys their spirit in the most passionate way.
